Marine biologists have captured footage of a rare albino Gray Whale, spotted off Mexico’s Pacific Coast.
The spectacular white mammal, recently nicknamed “Gallon of Milk”, was seen swimming with her normal-coloured calf during an annual census off the coast of Baja California.
Despite her white colours, the whale actually belongs to the Gray Whale species, scientifically known as Eschrichtius.
This is not the first time Gallon of Milk has made an appearance either…she was first sighted during the 2008-2009 season.
In 2017, there was a second sighting as Galón de Leche had given birth to an albino whale that has been since nicknamed Costalito de Sal (little sack of salt).
